North Western Railway (northwesternrailway.gov.in) used to be a website of the North Western Railway department of India. It used to carry out tasks such as booking tickets, looking at reservation charts, and finding out the status of your ticket from the PNR number as mentioned in there. But as of late, this website has gone down.

The reason for this is because of the sudden rise in the number of people who are getting online to try and purchase tickets, earlier ticket booking was limited to websites of different regions of India and their departments, but as of late there is just one website that serves all of these information and the ticket booking part.

This website is called IRCTC.co.in (www.irctc.co.in). Therefore I request everyone who wants to go to a website where they could book railway tickets, check their status, search the PNR number and do all sorts of “Railway” things, please go to IRCTC.co.in. It’s a great website, and I’ll be doing a review soon as well.
