Abey is an Indian Slang word (sometimes spelled as Abe), it has the same significance to it as "Dude" and "Man" have in the English language, commonly used to refer to or address a male in a conversation, Abey has found its way through conversations amongst females as well, in recent times. Abey is also used as its shortened version Bey, when used as a suffix to a sentence (Abey is used as a Prefix to a sentence)
For example
Abey, tu kya kar raha hai? (Dude, what are you doing?)
Tu kya kar raha hai Bey? (What are you doing dude?)
Abey is generally used when talking to friends, in a friendly manner, it can be used to as an arrogant word too, which is another common use for it, to show arrogance etc. Abey and Bey are NOT used in a formal tone, since they are slang words, they are also not used when speaking to elders. The only usage is among friends, and younger ones.
